Welcome to DormDish. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, application, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using DormDish, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use DormDish. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Accounts

• Provide accurate registration information and keep it updated.
• Maintain confidentiality of login credentials; you are responsible for all activities under your account.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use or security issues.

We reserve the right to reclaim usernames that violate trademarks or impersonate entities.

3. Service Description

DormDish provides AI-assisted meal planning using dining hall menus, personal goals, and nutritional targets. The Service offers suggestions only. It is not medical or dietary advice.

Consult a qualified professional for medical or clinical nutrition guidance.

4. Subscription & Payments

The Service is currently free. If premium features launch:

• Pricing and features will be disclosed prior to purchase.
• Billing cycles and renewal terms will be clearly stated.
• Third-party processors (e.g. Stripe) will handle payment data.
• You may cancel future renewal per disclosed cancellation steps.

Fees are non-refundable unless required by law or explicitly stated.

5. Acceptable Use

• No unlawful, harmful, or abusive behavior.
• No unauthorized scraping, bulk data extraction, or reverse engineering.
• No attempts to bypass security, rate limits, or access other users' data.
• No use of the Service to disseminate spam or misleading claims.

Violations may result in suspension or termination (see Section 10).

6. Intellectual Property

All software, features, branding, and content are owned by DormDish or its licensors. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host and process it solely to operate the Service.

Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.

7. AI-Generated Content

Meal suggestions or nutritional breakdowns may be generated with AI and can contain inaccuracies. Use judgment before acting on recommendations.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties (express or implied), including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or error-free results.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DormDish is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits arising from use of the Service.

Aggregate liability will not exceed amounts paid (if any) in the prior 12 months.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations, fraud, legal compliance, or security reasons. You may terminate by deleting your account or discontinuing use. Certain clauses (IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes may be communicated via in-app notice or email.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
